Most gift baskets sold online are the same thing: a wicker container, six items nobody really wanted, $20 of Styrofoam, and a $100 price tag. The gift-basket category is where retailers pad margins and hope you don't notice.
The baskets we recommend are the opposite — curated enough to not feel random, small enough to not feel padded, and built around a specific theme with items that are actually good on their own. A proper skincare gift set (the Burt's Bees hand repair trio is the template), a coffee sampler (Atlas Coffee Club's variety pack), a kitchen starter bundle. Each item in the basket should justify itself.
The other thing we do: recommend DIY baskets. Put together three or four great items yourself — a premium olive oil, a small specialty sea salt, a really good chocolate bar, a handwritten note. That's a gift basket. The wicker isn't the point.
